Was born at 15th of November, 1962, in Aldeia da Dona, near Guarda, in Portugal. With 9 months of age, Kim was taken to Paris by his parents.
When he was 7 years old received his first price in drawing, when he was 12, started to make cartoons, 3 years later wanted to be a rock star and making films…
In 1979, was invited by his professor of plastic art to participate in his first collective exposition where all other artists was already adults.
In 1980, in Paris, Kim with his friend, Quim P (Joaquim Pereira), created the NUKLÉ-ART concept and manifest, in which define a new kind of aesthetic in visual arts.
1984: creation of NUKLÉ-ART group (collective) with Kriki and Etherno.
KIM PRISU is without any doubt one of the precursors about this eighties pictorial movement, still ill defined, influenced by mix and cross-over culture, coming from fine arts, comics, video and graffiti.
Kim Prisu is considered one of the precursors of the Free Figuration movement started in ages of 80. His art was exposed in many Parisian galleries with such artists as J. M Basqiat,, Keith Haring, R.Combas, H Dirosa, Bazooka , Olívia TV Clavel, os Ripoulins, Francky Boy, Speedy, Graphito, os VLP, Nuklé-Art.
Actually, Prisu lives in Portugal, still working on painting and sculpturing, and still exposing his new creations in Portugal and France.
He collaborates with some performative groups and theatre companies, always looking for new artistic languages. He makes part of the group Inteiros, which the main philosophy is interaction between different kinds of artistic disciplines.
Humour and Imaginativeness, a determined positivism, are the best way in crisis.
His originality is of still being a soft-hearted person with the Violence and profound in a computing-world: his art is VIDEOMATIKC !
